A meal I really like

I usually like many foods, but one in particular will bring back many memories when I eat it and for the Lasagna is my favorite food.

I like lasagna as it can be made in many different flavors. It can be made form basil and tomato, spinach, cream and mushrooms, meat and sauce or cream, pesto, mushroom and cream, or even soy meat with sauce. But my favorite preparation is with tomato sauce, cream, soy meat, mushrooms and vegetables. 

When I talk about lasagna bringing back memories, I mean that when I was little my great grandmother who was Italian, they prepare lasagna with a family recipe. She made the dough and sauce, so the taste was wonderful. Years later my mother taught me that recipe, even how to make the dough. 

So for me this dish apart  from enchanting me, it brings me beautiful memories of my family and good times when preparing them.

Now I going to leave you some ingredients for the recipe to prepare this meal:

  • For the Bolognese sauce: 150 g of fine-textured soybeans
  • 150 g of vegetable broth
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 onion 50 g tomato paste
  • 150 g of vegetable broth

  • 200 g canned chopped tomato
  • 1 teaspoon Provencal herbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • For the lasagna: 16 pre-cooked lasagna sheets
  • For the bechamel: 600 ml of whole milk
  • 25g butter
  • 25 g of wheat flour
  • Optional: a touch of nutmeg a la béchamel
  • To gratin: 80 g of melted grated cheese, such as Gouda or Emmental
